The Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) Forum: At the Crossroads of Theory and Practice
October 17, 2018 New York, NY
Join us for a full day interactive forum presented by The 'MPOWER Project and Counter Extremism Project, in partnership with the Permanent Missions of Norway and Jordan.
In today's Internet era, preventing violent extremism must be approached as both art and science, keeping technology, data, and cognitive security in lock-step with hard security and tactical measures, while keeping citizen’s rights central to everything.
The ‘MPOWER Project, Counter Extremism Project, and Permanent Missions of Jordan and Norway will convene a Forum with a robust group of global cross-sector experts, practitioners and policymakers to have nuanced end-to-end conversations on Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) and its role at the nexus of law enforcement tactics, development, CVE and fighting the proliferation of extremist ideology online, generally.
